Has a new home.......
Yesterday was our day to take Harley to the groomer. Boy, did that dog STINK!!!! When I went to pick him up I had to bring a gas can with cuz the truck was on E and there are no gas stations between here and the groomer. Harley was more hyper than usual when I picked him up. Normally he gets excited but this time he was downright HYPER. I put him in the back with the 5 gallon gas can not thinking there would be an issue since the can was heavy and full and since there was a cap on the end of the nozzle. Yeah, you guessed it....on the way home Harley knocks over the can, the cap pops off, and gas just starts pouring out. I pulled over, put the rest of the gas into the truck tank, had Harley walk off the gas on his paws in some snow and ran home. The smell was overpowering. I grabbed some junk towels and mopped it up the best I could.
I called Scott and he researched the best way to clean it up. One way was to slice potatoes and cover the spill. It's supposed to absorb the gas. That spill would have taken at least 2 five lb bags. Then I remembered that I had a coupon for free carpet shampooing at the Delta Sonic. I loaded up the kids and ran over there. They did the best they could. They even put this odor eliminator stuff on it that works in tandem with an Ozone Machine, which believe it or not we happen to own. Praise God for that cuz they charge $60 to use theirs!!!
I then ran the kids to Awana just in the nick of time. (They ate dinner in the Delta Sonic waiting area.) And I ran to WalMart for necessities. I then ran over to Panera for a quick cup of coffee with Rachel and Tina ~ the first time all school year. (I miss my Panera time with them.) Apparently I just missed seeing one of our local weather guys, Wayne Mahar, who was in enjoying coffee before he headed in to do the news. Then ran to pick up the kids. Headed over to Bosworths to drop off their PS2. Ran to the library to drop off and pick up items. And made it to the drug store 3 minutes before closing to pick up a necessary drug item.
Needless to say I was wiped out when I got home last night. I think I'm gonna stay home, light a bunch of good smelling candles, and sit in front of the fire today.
Good luck with that!
I think they're cute!
